These mini-rims were more of an exercise in 3D design and machining (both manual and CNC).
This image below is of a mixer, machined for a graduate student. The mixer was intended for mixing composite foams. This piece required manual machining on a lathe, followed by CNC machining of the 6 holes, and finished with milling the slots and grooves along the exterior by indexing the part. Creativity was needed in order to fixture and align the part.
